Earlier this month, our team headed to The Woodlands, Texas, to attend the Methane Mitigation Summit Series – one of the most focused gatherings in the oil and gas emissions space, bringing together operators, regulators, technology providers, and sustainability leaders from across the industry.
We were proud to exhibit alongside our partners at Cimarron, showcasing Minerva and the broader CleanConnect.ai platform to operators actively working through the next generation of methane monitoring and LDAR compliance.
Methane Mitigation Summit 2026: Takeaways
Over three days of panels, booth conversations, and networking sessions, a few consistent themes emerged that reinforced exactly what we’re building toward.
The Regulatory Pace Is Accelerating
Conversations throughout the summit made clear that OOOOa, OOOOb, and state-level regimes like Colorado Reg 7 are no longer future concerns – they’re here, and operators are actively reworking their compliance frameworks to keep up. The appetite for automated, auditable solutions was evident across every conversation we had.
Camera-Based Detection Is Moving to the Center
There was strong interest from operators in continuous optical monitoring – both fixed camera deployments and handheld solutions for field teams. The question has shifted from “is this technology ready?” to “how do we deploy it at scale across our asset base?“
Data Integration Is the Real Differentiator
Across the board, operators aren’t just looking for detection: they need data that flows into their existing workflows, feeds compliance reports, and connects to repair verification. Siloed tools are losing ground to integrated platforms.
International Interest Is Growing
We had meaningful conversations with representatives from Latin America and Europe, reflecting how methane regulation and monitoring standards are becoming a global conversation, not just a North American one.
Minerva on the Ground
The response to Minerva at the booth was strong. Operators and service providers responded immediately to the combination of low-cost, high-precision methane detection with full software integration, particularly the ability to take handheld field data and feed it directly into a centralized monitoring and compliance system.
We also brought along miniature scale models of Minerva to give away to attendees, and they were a hit! It gave people a tangible, hands-on way to connect with the product, and more than a few ended up sparking deeper conversations about deployment.
For teams managing large populations of marginal wells or conducting LDAR inspections across distributed assets, the ability to carry precision detection into the field without a heavy hardware investment resonated strongly.
Looking Ahead
The Methane Mitigation Summit confirmed what we’re seeing across the market: the bar for emissions monitoring is rising, the regulatory environment is tightening, and operators are actively looking for practical, deployable solutions.
We came away with strong connections, valuable conversations, and a clear sense that the industry is ready to move.
